Mid Murray Council is seeking community feedback on a Draft Community Engagement Policy.

Mid Murray Council is committed to engaging meaningfully, transparently and consistently with its community. This policy ensures that all engagement activities:

  • Meet or exceed the mandatory requirements of the Charter.
  • Enable community members to understand, influence and contribute to Council decision making that affects them.
  • Foster trust, encourage active participation and promote strong governance.

This Policy establishes Council’s approach to community engagement in accordance with Section 50 and 50A of the Local Government Act 1999 and the Community Engagement Charter (the Charter) published in the South Australian Government Gazette on 11 December 2025.

Written submissions are invited on the proposed Community Engagement Policy and can be provided through the following means:

  • Mid Murray Your Say feedback form;
  • Letter addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, Mid Murray Council, PO Box 28, Mannum SA 5238; or
  • Email postbox@mid-murray.sa.gov.au

Submissions will be received until 5:00 pm Friday 19 June 2026.
