Morgan Community Projects

In July 2022 Council was approached to host a temporary workers’ accommodation in Morgan on land under the care, control and management of Council as part of the construction of an energy infrastructure project, with a lease agreement entered into for land at Lot 7 North West Terrace, Morgan.

At the time of the announcement of the lease, it was the intention that a portion of the proceeds from the lease would be invested into the Morgan community, following community consultation.

At the Council meeting held on 18 March 2025, Council allocated a total amount of $100,000 over two budget periods (2025/26 and 2026/27), for project/s within the Morgan area.

Council is now seeking suggestions from the community for suitable project/s for Morgan that will benefit the town and the broader region. All project suggestions will be considered by Council, including initial investment and any ongoing maintenance, before decisions are made by Council on the project/s to be progressed.
