Privately Funded Code Amendment Policy

Mid Murray Council is inviting feedback from the community on the draft Privately Funded Code Amendment Policy.

The Policy seeks to establish clear principles for considering a privately funded Code Amendment under Section 73 of the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016.

The public is welcome to view the draft Policy from Wednesday 28 May 2025 at Council Offices during normal office hours or the link located under Document Library.

Written submissions are invited on the draft Policy and will be received by the Chief Executive Officer, Mid Murray Council, PO Box 28, Mannum SA 5238, or email postbox@mid-murray.sa.gov.au; or via feedback form until 5pm Friday 27 June 2025.

Update July 2025

From 28 May 2025 and 27 June 2025 Council had invited the community and stakeholders to comment on the draft Policy.

With 218 views and 106 downloads of the Policy from the Your Say page, three (3) submission were received at the conclusion of the engagement period. A copy of the Submission Summary Report is available in the Document Library.

The feedback and proposed amendments to the Policy was presented to Council on 15 July 2025, with the Policy being adopted.
