The Morgan and District Lions Club Inc currently hold a lease over the Morgan Institute, with the arrangement providing that the venue be available for one-off hires by the community.
Council has received a request from the Club to alter the permitted use of the Morgan Institute. The proposed change would allow the premises to house an Op Shop. If approved, this alteration would mean the facility would no longer be able to be hired and utilised as a hall or community venue for hosting community events.
Council is seeking the community’s thoughts on the request and proposal.

Consultation is not mandatory due to the term of the lease agreement, the consultation will commence 8 December and conclude 5.00pm Tuesday 23 December 2025.
