The Keyneton-Sedan-Cambrai planning area, located along the eastern edge of the Mount Lofty Ranges, consists of the following housing areas.

Keyneton, Sedan, and Cambrai are three historic townships located on the eastern side of the LGA. Keyneton, established in 1842 and named after English pastoralist Joseph Keynes, is home to the renowned Henschke Wines. Nearby Sedan, settled by Lutherans in the 1850s, is known for its community-designed mosaic landmark and historic architecture, including 19th-century buildings from its days as a bustling railway terminus. Cambrai, originally known as Rhine Villa, is an agricultural district home to Marne Valley Turf and the nearby Shell Hill, a natural wonder with ancient oyster shell deposits. Towitta and Graeztown, smaller rural settlements in the region, also reflect the area’s early European agricultural heritage and contribute to its rich rural character. Together, these towns and settlements offer a glimpse into South Australia’s rural past.
